Annual Wôpanâak Language Immersion Camp
We’re excited to host a weekend of full Wôpanâak language immersion for citizens and households of the Assonet, Aquinnah, Herring Pond, and Mashpee Wampanoag communities. Participants of all ages will engage in cultural activities conducted entirely in Wôpanâak, building language skills in a supportive, community-centered setting. The camp will be held at the Wampanoag Common Lands in Kingston, MA. Please note: Attendance is expected for the duration of the Immersion camp, but camping out there isn't mandatory. You are welcome to set up your space on Friday evening.
When: 9am Saturday October 10th - Monday October 12th 1pm
Where: The Wampanoag Common Lands in Kingston, MA
You can submit one registration for your own family by entering the number of children under 5 and the number of students over 5 (Student) who will be attending. If you are planning to camp, please indicate the number of people in your group using the "Camping" add-on.

Annual Graduation & Annual Meeting (Language Committee Members Only)
We are excited to invite you to celebrate our language class graduates at our upcoming Wôpanâak Language Class Graduation & Annual Meeting!
Please join us as we recognize the hard work, dedication, and accomplishments of our language instructor and learners in addition to attending our annual meeting afterwards.
Language Class Graduation
Sunday September 20th 11am-12pm at Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe Community & Government Center 483 Great Neck Road South Mashpee, MA 02649
Following the graduation ceremony, we will have a potluck and hold our Annual Meeting & Elections from 1pm to 3pm.
This will be a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our collective language journey by coming together as a community, and taking part in shaping the future of WLRP.
